Behind every major industry showcase, there is a mountain of behind-the-scenes planning. The 2025 Brisbane Truck Show was no different, relying on clockwork logistics to pull off the record-breaking event.
The event took place from May 15 to May 18. It gathered some of the most famous people in the transport industry. In the background Truck Movers Australia came forward to take care of the work handling the movement of vehicles for big companies during the four-day event.
The group worked with 13 original equipment manufacturers to make than 120 vehicle moves. This involved moving trucks in and out of the main exhibition spaces delivering display models, for special dinners in the evenings and making sure everything went well all through Australian Truck Week 2025..
Matt Whitnall, Managing Director at Truck Movers Australia, reflected on the company’s deep roots with the event.
“This is actually the 18th Brisbane Truck Show where we have worked in the background,” Whitnall said. “We help manufacturers shift trucks from every corner of the country right to the showroom floor.
“On top of that, our crew is constantly out on the road handling day-to-day fleet transfers nationwide, including the latest heavy-duty electric models.”
Coordinating Precise Event Timelines
Event moves come with a whole different set of rules compared to standard highway deliveries. Drivers have to stick to strict, tight windows for ‘bump in’ and ‘bump out’ to keep traffic moving around the venue.
“Timing is everything when you are bringing heavy vehicles into a busy city center,” Whitnall explained.
“You need a structured schedule to get every vehicle into position safely without clogging up local streets. Our drivers take real pride in helping manufacturers get their stands set up and looking spot on.”

Some deliveries called for extra planning. Before the show even opened its doors, Truck Movers Australia placed two spotlight trucks inside the Brisbane Airport terminal to welcome arriving interstate and overseas visitors.
“Getting those trucks into the airport terminal meant working in the dead of night, right after midnight,” Whitnall added.
“Event logistics is a bit like throwing a massive party everyone wants to stick around for the fun, but no one wants to stay for the clean-up. That is where we step in, making sure every truck gets safely back to base once the lights go down.”
